Air Pump with Rechargeable Battery Back Up This air pump works like any other air pump when plugged into the mains. Its difference is that in the event of a power cut the built in rechargeable battery automatically switches to work to keep filter bacteria alive.

In the high switch position the pump runs continually while in the low position the pump runs at intervals giving short burst of power to keep working longer under battery power therefore keeping the bacteria alive and well in your air operated filters. When plugged into the mains it then is charging the battery. So the battery is always fully charged in case of power cut
